Strange times . Busy times.

And then this thing happened that changed all of our habits and propelled everyone to a surreal state of mind. Around the world. But we were busier than ever.

The year 2020: Animation for the Masses

Nobody could shoot anymore for a while. Live action production came to a screeching halt. Lucky for us night owls, sitting in front of our computer screens.

Since the only thing that people could do was sit on the couch and watch TV, there was a huge demand for content. And since our studio was fully operational, we were as busy as could be.

Next to our client work, we also pushed forward two more of our IP projects. Blue Marble was progressing with full steam. Concept work, scripts and outlines, decks and storyboards. Our first serious attempt at a full test run. We learned a lot during the process of what it takes to sell your own IP.

The other project that quietly developed was a pipe dream called “Bye Bear”, a short film concept. But since there wasn’t much else to do in 2020 outside of work and sleep, it was the year for extensive previs work on this little film. Aimless, but entertaining.
