The Return of Animation as we know it

As we approach the finish line, this is the second to last chapter of this long, looong recollection of our tales. If you are still following this thread, we salute you. We would’ve given up a while ago.

The year 2022: An episode of Games and a little Blue Marble

Putting together the highlights for this year was a tricky one. On one hand, 2022 was the year we got to do some bigger, long-term game-related projects, which were hard work, but also brought us closer to where we came from. Plot-driven animation. Story. The stuff that we grew up with and we know how to do by heart. So there was no way we couldn’t mention the projects we did for Garena Free Fire and Assassin’s Creed.

And on the other hand, 2022 was the year that our very own Helen finished up her all-encompassing IP concept package for a passionate vision called ‘Blue Marble’. A proof-of-concept of epic proportions, including artwork, scripts for a whole season, promotional decks, an animatic of a full episode and last, but not least, a beautiful, beautiful trailer that paints the picture of the world of Flora, Mapa and Harry. A family on a quest. An Ode to Food and a love letter to Planet Earth.

We can’t show the whole thing here, so please enjoy this little bite-sized taste.

And there was one more thing still cooking.
