The Year of the Bear

So this is the big news to round out the series.

Polynoid is back from hibernation — and we brought you a new short film.

Always nice to wrap things up this way, don’t you think? First, we reflect back on that mile-long scroll of Polynoid and Woodblock history. Where we came from, the humble beginnings, the first successes. We drag you with us through all the years, interesting and boring. Until we’re back in the now. And then we find a clever way to close out, going full circle, returning to the beginning. And it leaves us with this swingy, positive vibe. A classic story arc.

2023 — The Year of the Bear

Six years of concepts, re-writes, pauses. 6 months of concentrated production. And out comes ‘BYE BEAR’, a ten-minute long, sincere labor of love.

I had something to say to y’all. And I say things with films.

Huge shoutout to everyone at Woodblock for the passion and spirit to go the extra mile for extra finesse. Our team is simply amazing and we’re so proud of all of them. And it’s a testimony of our capabilities as an animation studio.

I’m happy. We hope that all of you out there are happy, too.
