Installation

In mid-2013, the research phase was over. Decisions had been made and money had changed hands. Exciting things were happening thick and fast.

James shipped the new motor, the instruments and the wiring loom from the USA. Chris shipped the beautiful new Torqeedo lithium-NMC marine batteries from Queensland. Between them, they gave us idiot-proof instructions for installing and commissioning the system.

This stellar sales support made the task very straightforward for Tony and me.

Part of the wiring loom with the Sevcon controller — the ‘brain’ of the system
The rest of the wiring loom with the ignition, the user controls, etc.
Ooh! A shiny new bronze propeller!
The most important bit: the motor in its specially designed mount, and behind that the new propshaft and new stern tube sticking out the bottom of the boat through A BIG HOLE
