Spiral galaxies live above my brain;
some of them double helix-ed, like my DNA.
Perhaps that’s why I’m so attracted to them;
my genes experience the similarity effect.
And then, I hold a shell in my hand;
a small — but wise — logarithmic spiral.

We look separated, but we have a sacred bond.
