Sunflower Seed Bread
This delicious Sunflower Seed Bread is made with a blend of all-purpose and whole wheat flour, sunflower seeds, old-fashioned rolled oats, flaxseed meal and lightly sweetened with honey. The old-fashioned rolled oats give the bread a hearty texture, the flaxseed meal provides fibre and the sunflower seeds give the bread added toasted crunch.
This recipe is both simple in preparation and ingredients. Most of the time needed in this bread recipe is the dough’s rising time; all you have to do is combine the ingredients, mix and knead with a stand mixer, and let the dough rise and bake. Brushing the loaf with milk will help brown the crust, and topping it with old-fashioned oats and sunflower seeds gives the bread added flavour and texture. A delightfully soft and seedy bread perfect for sandwiches, toast with jam, peanut butter and avocado, or oil dipping.
