When we launched AppConnect, we were excited to share the amazing integrations we had been working on. We knew these code-free integrations would provide a lot of value to you and we couldn’t wait to put them out there.

But — to be honest — we couldn’t have imagined this great of a response. You guys have been installing these apps at a rapid pace and providing fantastic feedback, not the least of which has been dozens of new app requests.

While all of the apps are getting plenty of installs, there have been two that you guys have been installing like thunder. Let’s take a look at these two apps and how our customers are using them.

Mandrill: Bring Email Marketing Full Circle

What Can I Do with It?

As marketers, we are repeatedly asking ourselves, “How effective are my campaigns?”. We get a glimpse of this with basic metrics around email opens and clicks, but it can be difficult to understand how email campaigns are contributing to long-term engagment and conversions.

Like all the email marketing apps in AppConnect, the Mandrill app enables you to bring your email marketing full circle and delivers deep insight into email effectiveness, and how it impacts other areas of your marketing.

Putting email event data into Woopra helps you measure how your email campaigns influence overall customer behavior so that you can get a deeper understanding of how your marketing works as a whole.

For example, an online furniture retailer could use the Mandrill app to measure the real-time sales performance of a holiday email promotion. Months later, this same retailer could segment a report based on those who purchased from the holiday campaign, to see how many of those customers also purchased from subsequent campaigns.

What Does the App Do?

Once you install the Mandrill app in Woopra’s AppConnect, you will be able to automatically track all the ways users interact with you via Mandrill in real-time. This includes emails sent, opened, and clicked on.

Now that you have this event data within Woopra, you will:

  • Automatically have reports on the data
  • See these events in Customer Profiles
  • Be able to use this data for segmentation, Funnel Analytics goals, Retention Reports, and more

What Does It Look Like?

Let’s take a look at a few examples of what Woopra looks like with the Mandrill app.

Mandrill Event Reports: The Mandrill app will automatically generate Mandrill event reports, such as a report detailing email opens organized by subject line. This helps you understand the effectiveness of different types of campaigns. You can also click any of the numbers to break it down to the individual level, and see who exactly the users are.

Funnel Analytics Reports: You will be able to use Mandrill events as goals in your Funnels. For example, you can make the first step in a Funnel “Open Email” when measuring the effectiveness of an email campaign. This helps you understand how much yor email campaigns are driving conversions.

Retention Reports: The Mandrill app allows you to use email events in your Retention Reports. For example, to understand how long users continue to engage with your email campaigns, you can run a Retention Report that measures how many users open your emails over time. In the screenshot below, we see that after four weeks, 9.7% of people continue to open our emails.

Segmentation: With the Mandrill app, you can use all tracked Mandrill events in your segmentation filters. For example, you could filter out all users who were sent an email with subject “welcome”. This helps you slice and dice your data based on users’ email engagement.

WordPress: Code-Free WordPress Analytics

What Can I Do with It?

The WordPress app enables you to easily measure important data from your WordPress site without having to write a single line of code or do any customization yourself. The app helps you understand article and author performance, measure reader engagement and retention, and more.

Because all of Woopra’s data is real-time, you can measure the effectiveness of articles and posts on the spot. You can even test different headlines to see which ones bring more traffic.

What Does the App Do?

Once you install the WordPress app in Woopra’s AppConnect, you will be able to automatically track all WordPress events in real-time, such as:

  • When a user performs a search on your website
  • Which articles or blog posts they read
  • When a user comments on an article or post
  • When a user signs up

Now that you have this event data within Woopra, you will:

  • Automatically have reports on the data, such as top authors and top categories
  • See these events in Customer Profiles
  • Be able to use this data for segmentation, Funnel goals, Retention Reports, and more

The WordPress app also automatically adapts to Woopra’s WooCommerce plugin so that you can seamlessly track eCommerce transactions. Learn more about Woopra’s eCommerce Analyticssolution.

What Does It Look Like?

Let’s take a look at a few examples of what Woopra looks like with the WordPress app.

WordPress Event Reports: The WordPress app will automatically generate reports on your WordPress events and properties, such as a report that shows you the top authors.

Funnel Analytics Reports: You can use WordPress events as goals in your Funnels. For example, you can measure reader engagement by building a Funnel that shows you how many users read a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th article after they read a 1st.

Retention Reports: With the WordPress app, you can use WordPress events in your Retention Reports. For example, you can understand how long you retain readers by measuring how long they continue to read your articles. In the report below, we see that after 7 weeks, 5.3% of unsubscribed readers continue to read our articles.

Segmentation: You can create segmentation filters based on any WordPress events. For example, you can segment a report or get a list of users whose search query on your site contained “whitepaper”.
