The art of
Detachment—
We don’t own;
we aren’t owned
by none.

Yet bombs
darken the sky in
Gaza like we
owned these lives;
forests burn like we
owned life-inducing
molecules—

Children
lost in the fire;
rivers drying.

‘Practice
non-attachment’ —
What for?
Soon there will be
nothing left to
detach.
