People worldwide read, enjoy, and discuss books. Whether you are a child in school, a scholar in an institution, or a prisoner in jail, books provide comfort, knowledge, and understanding about things beyond your own experience.

"Once you learn to read, you will be forever free." — Frederick Douglass.

Writing down your thoughts and opinions is an excellent exercise. In the literary world, book reviews play several crucial roles. Book reviews are a great way to help readers make informed decisions before reading a book. They provide valuable insights into the book's quality, content, and style. Reviews also assist readers in determining whether a book is suitable for their interests and preferences. Moreover, they provide feedback to authors, highlighting both the strengths and weaknesses of their writing. Sometimes, reviews serve as a promotional tool for authors and their work. However, their most important role is in contributing to the cultural and critical discourse surrounding literature. Reviews offer interpretations, analyses, and evaluations that can deepen readers' understanding and appreciation of a book's themes, characters, and messages.

How can you, an avid reader of books interested in writing book reviews, write a book review that is Marvelous to get views and reads? The answer is simple: just like you devoted yourself to reading and finishing the book, you must also dedicate yourself to writing the review.

Let's talk about three different ways you can write a Marvelous book review:

The Sweet and Simple

Talk about the plot, setting, characters, and your opinion. Then, dive deep and analyze the themes explored in the book that convey a message to our society. What makes this book worth someone's time and money?

For example, check out my book review of 'Confessions of a Thug' by Philip Meadows Taylor:

The B&U Connection

Sometimes, a book dramatically impacts you because you can draw parallels to the book with your real-life experience. Out of the millions of book reviews, what would make your book review so original and different? Your connection to the book. Now, if you are comfortable enough to share it, do it. Sometimes, you do not have to give out the full details of your personal life. A few bits and pieces without going into the details and connecting them to the book would make it more enjoyable.

Hence, talk about the plot, setting, characters, your opinion of the book, and your connection.

For example, check out my book review of "Robinson Crusoe" by Daniel Defoe:

The Wholemeal

Write the perfect book review with all the spices and ingredients. Talk about the plot, setting, characters, your opinion of the book, and your personal connection. Give it the finishing touch by diving deep and analyzing the themes explored in the book that convey a message to our society.

For example, check out my book review of 'The Werewolf of Paris' by Guy Endore:

Have fun and all the best with your Medium journey.
