I’m Not Working Hard

(And I will never)

Do the work even when you don’t want to. Push yourself every time.

No energy. Push.

No willingness. Push.

No focus. Push.

Work long hours. Without breaks. Always in a race to finish the endless to-do lists.

Keep your fist and willpower clenched. And find clues outside what is hurting your mind and body.

Mind striving for what to do next:

  • At home, thinking about work.
  • At work, roaming around your family issues.

While saying hard work and enforcing yourself for this, making your life worse quietly.

  • Why on earth I’ll work hard when I have other better choices too?
  • Are we working with one hand, tightening the other one?
  • Are we walking on a rope?

I had been in this trap for the past 2 years.

After trying hard (and failing every time), I thought let’s give a shot to the simple life while breaking down and simplifying everyday things.

“They sacrifice and struggle a lot all in the name of going after something that is easier to get than you might imagine. “

— From the book — The One Thing.

If it’s damn easy, where’s the problem?

It’s in our intellect.

We complicate the mind with multiple choices. While trying as many things as possible just like rolling the multiple disks. Some disks fall, and crash, and we end up being disappointed.

Coming to the basis while reading ‘The One Thing’ book, I’m learning to focus on one thing at a time and not treating every task equally important.

Think about it as much as you take action.

Only actions without giving them a thought make things hard. When thinking provides a direction to shape our efforts and get something worthy out of them.

Have one top priority at a time.

Every day, I’m removing things from my to-do list to make it a success list while having one aim at a time.

So, the earlier scenario was just diving into the work while listening about hard work from the society.

Now, I think how I can make it easy and simple. What’s a better way to do it?

Food for Thought

Don’t need to believe in everything people and the world are saying to you.

Everything is a myth until you experience it on your own.

Self-introspect, listen to your instincts, experiment, and create your own culture.

If your culture helps you do things at ease, then why choose hard work?
