To see my parents celebrate 27 years of marriage fills me with awe. It’s incredible how their love only seems to grow stronger with time.

It’s fascinating to see how my parents express love in ways that defy traditional expectations. Mom might not be verbally expressive, and Dad might not be big on grand gestures. But their connection is strong, which makes me question if there are universal markers of deep love, or if it’s more about understanding each other’s love languages.

To understand the true nature of lasting love, let’s turn to those who have nurtured it over time. What can we learn from their journeys?

A unique research study suggests that men fall in love more often than women. Women, on the other hand, are more likely to seek a committed relationship after becoming intimate with a man.

What makes this research special is that we’ll explore it through the unique lenses of my mother and father.

As a young doctor, my father was surrounded by other working women. This meant he had the potential to develop feelings for any of them. The research suggests that men are likely to experience attraction to multiple women, especially in these circumstances.
