Reach Inside to Pull Out Surprising Nuggets of Wisdom

Letting ourselves flow means trusting who we are and being ourselves. Definitely not easy — this notion of being yourself.

Many things, people, and events affect and inspire us. Where our original selves start is not always clear.

Finding our authentic voice is the most significant accomplishment. But how do you do that?

I have found one technique that hacks the noise and makes me unearth something I wasn’t necessarily conscious of. Guess what? Writing.

Whenever I am unsure what I am thinking or should be thinking, I just start to write. Initially, it looks gibberish. But after a few minutes, a couple of sentences, and some crossovers of the written words, a picture starts emerging, and a story starts unfolding. True — sometimes it goes somewhere, other times it doesn’t end anywhere. But at the minimum, you explore yourself and see what lies dormant. It is fun, if nothing else.

I don’t think we listen to our minds enough.

We need to get out of our own way. Because if we do, we will surprise ourselves by spitting out nuggets of wisdom we weren’t aware existed in us.

We have consciously and unconsciously acquired a significant amount of knowledge in our lifetime. It doesn’t matter what age we are. For our life stage, we have enough, for sure. We have a unique way of looking at things. Because there is no one like us in the world, our perspectives are unique by design.

Let’s dive deep and start writing.
