There’s nothing profound here

Nothing will be heard

That wasn’t said before

It’s the same hollow rhetoric

So go ahead and listen

With empty ears

History’s at a standstill

It’s all been said and done

The cycle will repeat

There’s no need to prolong it

I’ll quit while I’m behind
