A Mother’s Love
“I love you lots! I will see you later and have a great day. I love you lots!”
She said it twice to her daughter. As she uttered the words, her hands moved in unison, speaking in silence through sign language. After taking a seat, her daughter (who must have been in her early teens) looked into her mom’s eyes affectionately. She responded through the window, not by talking but by sign language. Although she could not hear, she could feel her mom’s caring and loving words, her guiding light throughout the day until she closed her eyes at night.
The train began to depart, but her mom was still standing on the platform, waiting for it to disappear from her sight completely. It was such a beautiful and heart-warming scene I was fortunate to witness in the morning.
