Robin Williams: A Man who taught us to laugh when we were sad, and to cry when we were happy.

Williams was a legend, a god, something divine. Mortality struck and he met his demise.

It was all the pain that snuck up, bottled inside the mind of a man who always smiled.

He knew struggle, he knew loss, he knew stress, he knew pain and that’s why he never frowned.

One man may suffer, but that doesn’t mean he has to make those around him miserable. Sometimes, that man is suffering so much, that he just wants to make others joyful. Only a real man can achieve this. Williams was that man.

Williams was always the one to help others, both in reality and on the screen. To think that he was ever driven only by self interest is obscene.“Comedy can be a cathartic way to deal with personal trauma,” Williams admitted.

While we were addicted to his comedy, he was addicted to alcohol and drugs. He overcame this, but was met with anxiety, depression and parkinson’s. Sometimes awful things happen to awesome people.

This is the motif of Williams. There doesn’t exist a movie where his life is immaculate, he always faces a hardship. Do you know how hard it would be for him to act any other part? He doesn’t know anything but hardship, and he’s really good at smiling his way through. He said this, “All it takes is a beautiful fake smile to hide an injured soul and they will never notice how broken you really are.”

Williams gave us direction, he told us that it’s not our fault, he said it’s okay to be extraordinary. He taught us that happiness is the cure for any illness. He taught us that you can be different. Williams taught us some of the most important things we’ve ever learned whether we knew it or not. He even said, “No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world.” Ironic, isn’t it. A man who told us words could change the world, changed the world with words. He may have only played a poet in more than a few movies, but I believe his life was as poetic as they come, the theme:rather glum.

Sixty-three years of age, the life of a man walks off stage. All is not lost, for this man lies with other great poets like Robert Frost. Robin williams would look at it this way, “Death is nature’s way of saying “Your table is ready.” Looks like his table is ready.

Nothing is actually impossible; I try to capture that with words. All works are raw and unedited.
