We weren’t prepared for this.

We were all too busy keeping pace.

Used to things just working. A machine that won’t break down.

You couldn't fathom this.

Not in your wildest dreams.

Options in abundance. Your social calendar teeming.

They can’t handle this.

They aren’t designed to ever stop.

To close the doors, shut up shop. To hibernate until the end.

Now we’re facing this.

It’s time to see who we really are.

Treading water, sink or swim. The world we know is caving in.

This is like a movie, but you can’t turn it off.

And now your feeling anxious. You tremble at a cough.
