If you are a woman or gay — get ready to experience discrimination at its best.

At least that is what journalists and political pundits are predicting Trump’s latest cabinet appointment will encourage.

The president-elect has appointed Tom Price as his Secretary of Health and Human Services who will work to halt any progress when it comes to the rights of women and the LGBT community.

He is a Congressman from Georgia who has a pristine track record supporting measures that protect against discrimination.

The ultra-conservative is anti-gay and supports adding a definition of traditional marriage into the Constitution. He has also supported measures that would reinstate the “Don’t Ask — Don’t Tell” law and then amend the Constitution to include a definition of traditional marriage. These beliefs come from his experience as a medical doctor that has proved gay Americans put the national health care system at risk.

Price is against any legislation that supports the philosophy that women should receive equal pay and that states that provide funding for childcare for low-income families should be penalized. He also supports states that refuse to deny parental rights to men who are delinquent in paying court-ordered child support.

One of his main goals is to restrict women’s rights to affordable reproductive care and create legislation that would require women to pay more for health insurance and cut off funding to Planned Parenthood.

He also believes the more than 55 million women who take birth control should no longer have access to it because it makes them “unattractive and crazy” and those who do should be defined as “sluts.”

To protect religious freedom initiatives the ultra conservative is poised to restrict access to abortions with legislation that punishes women who undergo the medical procedure even if they are victims of rape, incest or in danger of losing their life during birth.

Speaking of rape — Price believes that it is a legitimate act and if done correctly women will not get pregnant.

He plans on cutting off any federal funding that protects women who are victims violence because it hinders the rights of men who believe in traditional family values. If that isn’t enough the Congressman voiced his support for Islamic law that states men can beat their wives as long as they do not leave any marks.

If all this receives support from his fellow colleagues this country will inevitably become a place where men have the right to punish women who want to make their own decisions.
