Ivor Andrew, a B2B marketing agency in downtown Wheaton, Illinois (a block or two from the Metra stop), is growing fast and hiring a full-time junior copywriter. Here’s the rundown.

Who you are

You love writing and you’re really good at it — and you have writing samples that prove it. You believe in the power of collaboration. You’re ready to step in and be a part of a creative team that is telling great stories. Sound like you? Sweet. Let’s talk.

Who we are

You won’t find clichés, hyperbole or marketing acronyms here. No sweat shops, unbalanced clients or drama, either. Basically, nothing you’d expect from a creative marketing agency.

We are a team of 14-ish writers, designers, artists and strategists. We conjure, develop and execute ways to get more eyeballs on our clients’ businesses. And we’re really good, too.

We’re also plenty geeky, a good amount of nerdy and we have bold opinions about whether La Croix is good or bad. Spoiler: It’s bad.

What exactly does a junior copywriter do? I mean, I totally know. But just in case other people don’t.

In short, you’ll write. All the time. You’ll often work with our senior copywriter (that would be me), and the two of you will mash your brains together to create really good words. COLLABORATION.

Every day, you’ll write some or all of the following:
• Social media copy for all platforms
• Blog articles
• Website copy
• Brand identities
• Campaign concepts
• Print copy (for direct mail, brochures, events, etc.)
• Lots of other things we can’t think of right now

Perks
• Competitive salary
• Healthcare, vision, dental
• Retirement
• Fully-stocked kitchen
• Parking pass
• You’ll work directly with me (best perk tbh)

How to apply

Simply e-mail Doug Carter, our creative director. His email is doug@ivorandrew.com. Be sure to include your résumé and portfolio of writing samples. Don’t bother to include a cover letter because those things are the worst. Make sure your subject line reads “Words are cool and fun.”

Talk to you soon.
