Let out your hair
Free every single curl
That waited like caged birds
Unsettled, never silent
Paint your face
With the tears of the men
You left behind
Drape yourself in the blood
Your body shed
Without consent
Dance in the storm
That carried away your dreams
Bask in the light
That you shone upon your fears
And wear the darkness
Like 90 denier tights
Ready to win yet
Another fight
Now spread
Your wings
Take the step
And watch yourself
Fly.
