FREE HARD CORE

Did I tell you already?

That I was driving along
a country road around
the corner from me and
I saw a sign that said

FREE
HARD
CORE

and it was painted in black
each letter a foot high
on a square wooden board
leant against a wall

FREE
HARD
CORE

and it made me laugh
and think that that
was something I should do.

I have a hard core
and it doesn’t help me
no matter how often
it promises it might.

So I will find that hard core
and set it free.
