Be holy

What does it mean
these days
to be holy?

Incense and stained glass
and decorum
aren’t the measure,

but to wake up
and engage
with the unfiled murmurings
of every corner of the self

and find the point
of still focus
that directs us
to move
in service of all -

that is what it means
to be holy
these days.
