I am learning not to mind sweat
The way I did
when I was loved
I greet pain with a warm embrace
The way I do
when I see my mom
I was born out of
something like pain
something screaming
I learned to walk
only because i was willing to fall
And I was never ashamed of the scrapes on my knees
And now
I’m smiling as tears roll down my cheeks
