Four Walls

The anxiety of isolation

Four walls trap me inside,
Outside, flesh drops
With a ferocity, I’ve never seen before
Saving myself from becoming a victim
To bodies pelting onto the pavement
In my amazement
I find solace in the mind because of a
maze I’m meant to slither out of
Craving peace within the crevasses
of these four walls, the solitude creates screams
that shatter glass and slice my skin,
But no marks are left to bleed…
