Mobile Engineer — React Native (m/f/d) in Hamburg

Your responsibilities
- you will maintain and develop our native appsWe provide native white-labeled iOS and Android apps for our client’s customers and employees.
- These are developed using React Native and share 80% with our web app’s codebase. You can help us to keep the feature set of our native apps in sync with their web counterparts while ensuring that the UI and UX is optimized for the specific platform.
- you improve our CI/CD processes for native apps
- you will automatically deploy new apps for our clients using Fastlane and CodePush.
- We are also looking to improve our deployment processes to match the standard we have set for our web apps — we are evaluating using bitrise.io for CI/CD and Detox, Wix’s Gray Box testing framework.
What we’re looking for
● Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
● Basic knowledge in technologies used in our backend like Node.js, MySQL, Sequelize, GraphQL, Jest
● Strong experience in technologies used in our frontends like React, Fluxible, CSS,Modules, GraphQL
● Good English language skills (German is a plus) and good oral and written communication skills
● High level of self organization, self-motivation and ability to work in a team is a requirement
● Good product thinking skills
Nice to have
● Basic knowledge in technologies used in our backend like Node.js, MySQL, Sequelize, GraphQL, Jest
● Strong experience in technologies used in our frontends like React, Fluxible, CSS Modules, GraphQL
● Strong knowledge in technologies used for our native apps like React Native, Fastlane, Codepush is a plus
● Experience with distributed systems and message queues such as Rabbit MQ and related technologies used in microservice architectures is a plus
● Knowledge with containerization tooling like Docker and Kubernetes as well as experience with cloud providers such as AWS or GCP is a plus
● Experience with CI/ CD tools and approaches such as Jenkins (Pipelines) and Docker is a plus
