Welcoming Priyanka Somrah to the Work-Bench Team

We’re beyond excited to announce the latest addition to our Work-Bench team. Please meet our new VC Analyst, Priyanka Somrah!

Priyanka recently graduated from NYU with a major in Economics and concentration in Policy. Previously, she interned for NYU’s IT department which assisted the entire campus with their technology needs, continuing Work-Bench’s ethos of going from “IT to VC.”

You might even recognize Priyanka from our Enterprise Weekly newsletter. She’s spent the last 18 months as a research intern for Work-Bench, curating key enterprise news, fundings, and events to support our weekly newsletter. This was on top of her rigorous academic workload.

Priyanka proudly describes herself as an enterprise technology nerd and has a passion for supporting startups and the NYC tech community. At Work-Bench, Priyanka will be supporting the team with sourcing and due diligence on new investments, conducting market research and deep dives into new technology trends, and supporting our portfolio companies. She’s particularly interested in companies enabling cloud-native infrastructure and business applications leveraging AI and Machine Learning.

We’re so thrilled to work with Priyanka on a daily basis. She brings an excitement for enterprise technology that’s atypical to find in recent college grads. Her strong work ethic, collaborative spirit, and thirst for knowledge is a terrific fit for our investment strategy and culture here at Work-Bench.
