At Craft + Commerce, we announced an all new way to understand your ConvertKit account performance: the Subscriber Graph!

With the Subscriber Graph has come some really exciting new changes and updates, all centered around better understanding the performance of your list!

New app dashboard

Now, when you log into your account, you’ll go directly to your Subscribers page and see your last 6 months of subscriber growth by default.

How do I access the old dashboard?

It still exists on your Forms page! Simply click “Forms” at the top to access your Forms and your opt-in graph.

My graph numbers don’t match my list.

In the rare event this happens, we can fix that for you! Send in an email to help@convertkit.com and we’ll re-index your graph and get you on your way!

Net new subscriber growth

Toggle your graph to measure the net growth of your email list! This shows you new subscribers and cancellations. You can filter by days, weeks or months.

When I filter my net new by “Days,” it doesn’t have today’s date.

This is to be expected — we’ll calculate your net new at the end of each day, so in the Days view it may appear that a day is missing from the graph.

Filter your graph

You can filter your graph by Tag, Segment, Sequences and more! This allows you to not only track just overall list growth over time, but also overall performance of particular groups of subscribers.

What is the best use case for filtering the Net New by Tag, Sequence, or Form?

When using the Subscriber Filter on the net new graph, it is best to filter by something a subscriber receives immediately upon subscription.

For example, if you have a Visual Automation with two Sequences–one Sequence they receive immediately and one they receive upon completing the first Sequence– you should filter the Net New Graph by the first Sequence, not the second. This will give you a more accurate picture of actual net subscriptions — they won’t be considered subscribed to the second Sequence without completing the first.

What’s Next?

Open Rates by Segment

This nifty little data bar at the bottom of your graph currently displays overall stats for your list. Soon, it will match the filter and give you stats per segment.

Purchases data on the Subscriber Graph

Combined with another new powerful feature, Purchases, your Subscriber Graph will include Purchase data to help you understand the ROI of your email.
