Discover the one thing that every business needs to succeed online or die trying.

A fews ago, I explored the topic of what is needed to succeed in an online business. The SnapStars did not disappoint as they were willing to answer this literally in one word.

Yes each SnapChat viewer all came with one word answers. Oh, and they all had different responses so that makes this even more interesting.

So could it really be all about one thing in order to succeed?

Each of these entrepreneurs have the key and of course I have mine based off of their answers.

Also, every answer I received are a part of any online business succeeding on a grand scale.

But they couldn’t all be right could they?

Or is it just that their one answer is the key for them?
Something I’m all for as well.

What I’m going to do is tie all of these responses below to MY one word answer to make this all work. I hope anyway.

How about my one thing that every online business needs is…

Execution.

Without it all of these great answers, to me are rendered mute.

They won’t work without execution. But let’s find out what I mean now
by checking these response below.

Let’s take the 1st response from Maria who says you need Passion.
I don’t think you’ll get an argument out of me on that one. You need passion or else your business won’t sustain itself right?
But…
  • Anyone can have a passion and not work that passion.
  • Anyone can have passion and self sabotage themselves into something that is not their passion.
  • Anyone can start doing what they love-their passion-get to a rough spot and quit.

However

if they know how to work smart and execute on their passion, it makes all the difference.

Robyn says you need an email list!
And really that’s kind of a priceless answer because you really do.
But…
  • I’ve seen people who’ve grown huge email lists and don’t how to convert them into buyers to save their life.
  • I know of people with email lists that have no relationship with them whatsoever. So they aren’t buying what they’re selling either.
  • I know people that had huge email lists and don’t know how to create targeted content that relates to them. So they won’t convert either.

However…

if you knew how to work smart and execute a consistent message and build a relationship with your email list, then you really have something.

Gilad says you need community.
I totally agree with this too.
A community means you have people who know, like and trust you to deliver something valuable they’d want to consume and invest in monetarily.
But…
  • You have to know how to nurture a community
  • How to distribute valuable content consistently
  • How to maintain an audience by keeping them engaged.

However…

if you knew how to really engage with your audience, share your story, keep them loyal and give them ownership to your journey…that would be the work smart way to execute that flawlessly. Not an easy task!

Sherry says you need good customer service with fast response
Yes, with my background being in customer service, I know no greater thing for your company. Your customer service is the first contact anyone has with your brand. May be the last if you don’t get it right so having a great customer is key!
But…
  • You have to find the right people, if not yourself, to give the great impression every time there is contact.
  • You have to fast on the delivery for sure.
  • Your customer service has to be aligned with your brand.
  • You customer must have a strategy to wow your customers for retention.

However…

if you are able to execute on bringing that wow moment every time your customer comes a ringing, you’ll have returning customers for life! Or at least something close to that!

Cassandra says you need purpose
Every company needs a purpose to continue to serve in their markets. There is no reason to act without a why. So a purpose is essential or your company will almost assuredly get lost on the direction it should go.
But…
  • I seen many companies from all walks of life get lost on its original purpose. I think we all have seen that.
  • You can have a purpose and never, ever execute on it. Very sad.
  • You can execute on your purpose and get lost in others convincing you that your purpose isn’t valid.
  • Or you get lost in how to execute on your purpose and simply quit.

However…

If you can find the right tools and strategies to execute your purpose, there is really no stopping you…ever.

Eric says content, content, content. But good content! And consistent content.
Content is king right? Absolutely! Without content, you really fail to exist as a content creator or otherwise online.
But…
  • You have to execute every time, as best you can with good content. Not an easy task. I go through great pains trying to do this every time. It’s a process that must be executed the right way. And that right way is often up to interpretation
  • You have to execute on being consistent with your content. Period.
  • You have get the right kind of content to your target audience.

However…

If you can execute on all of these things, you can build your brand to tremendous heights.

In the end, I would say that all of these answers are necessary for success. It might take more than word to define it. But nothing happens without execution.

I suggest having a real plan of execution for every part of your business. Be smart on how you work that plan for each part as well. Research the right tools and strategies that fit the direction of your company.

Use these answers as a reference on how to succeed but also pair them with execution.

So execute at all costs or die trying…

It’s the only thing that will make your business go.
