Since we launched, WorkingOn received a ton of requests for new features and integrations. I’m super excited to share what we’ve been working on (hehe).

Back in April, WorkingOn was quietly shared with the world. Since then, I’ve gotten the opportunity to talk with many great companies. They’re doing amazing things like launching one of the most successful crowdfunding campaigns, helping independent artists sell their video content, and assisting governments around the world in shaping the future of the internet.

I began WorkingOn with an idea: we could empower the teams changing our world. These teams are spread over continents and splashed across time zones. Their members have side projects, insomnia, and last minute meetings. They have families. Sometimes they go on cross-country speaking tours. Staying in sync doesn’t need to be the hard part. Let us keep you on task while you go do what you do. We’re excited to be a part of your journey, and hope to grow with you.

Today, I’m delighted to share some of the shiny new features that will help you and your team get the most out of WorkingOn and the apps you already love.

Introducing Teams

For larger organizations with multiple departments, we’ve launched the Teams feature. Now you can create a focused space just for your team.

As you can see, our fake engineering team wasn’t very busy.

We recommend you create teams for projects or departments like Engineering, Design, or iOS App.

To create a team, go to the Activity page, click on the drop-down, and select Add a Team.

Task History

Each day is shaded by how much work was done. The darker the day the more progress was made.

Gone for a week on vacation? Missed a day at work? Just curious about what you worked on last week? Now you can feel like a time traveler with the newly added History feature.

To see your team’s task history, go to the Activity page and select a date from the day picker on the right-hand side.

Chrome Extension

Posting from Chrome is finally here! When you create a new tab, you’ll see the task you’re currently working on and be able to update directly from the new tab page.

Keep your current task top of mind and stay focused.

Maintain your workflow by enabling task autocompletion. You can connect Trello or Asana to pull in tasks you’ve been assigned and avoid having to go look them up.

Alternatively, you can post directly from Chrome’s address bar. This is the easiest way to share, no matter what you’re doing on the internets.

Post directly from the address bar with the Chrome Extension.

Download the Chrome Extension from the Google Web Store or find out more on our Chrome Extension page. If you enjoy it, we’d really appreciate a review.

New Integrations

New integrations include: Asana, Github, Yammer, Kato, Hall, and Chrome

In order to keep you in your workflow, we’re integrating with the services you use most. WorkingOn now plays nice with Asana, GitHub, Yammer, Kato, Hall and Chrome. You can see the full listing of our integrations here.

If you’d like to set up a chat integration for your team, get started by going to the manage page and selecting the chat service of your choice.

To get started with any of the other integrations, you can find installation instructions on the integrations page.

If we’re missing an integration you need, please let us know by logging in and filling out this form.

Thank you so much for all your patience and willingness to share your thoughts. I’m stoked— we have some big things in store for the future!

If you haven’t gotten a chance to try WorkingOn, please check it out and let me know what you think at mark@workingon.co.
