We’ve been busy bees here at WorkingOn and I’m thrilled to share some new features we’ve added over the last few months.

Firstly, I’d like to thank you for the time you’ve taken to share your thoughts, good and bad. It has been inspiring. Even–no, especially–when it’s a kick in the ass to do better.

I can’t count the number of sleepless nights I’ve had pondering how we could improve. I’ve often been overwhelmed by frustration. If only we had the resources to tackle all the problems we see–I could sleep softly. It pains me that we can’t build it all right now.

With that said, I’m delighted to share the progress we have made. In the last two years, we’ve added 15 integrations and 3 chat connections. And after listening to your often spirited feedback, we’ve shipped some of your most requested features [chat with us about it on Product Hunt now!]:

Grouped Updates

#Hashtag to group your updates and cut clutter

Team updates can get cluttered. To help you cut through the noise, WorkingOn can now group updates by hashtag. People are already using this feature to group updates by project, client, activity, and more.

A view of the #launch tag in WorkingOn

Simply by adding a Twitter-like #hashtag to your WorkingOn updates they’ll be clickable in your chat application, email update, and WorkingOn activity page.

Hashtags accessible directly in Slack.

We’re psyched to expand on this in the future by adding helpful reporting tools, content grouping, and synchronization.

Calendar, Email, and Much More

Integrate with Zapier and connect over 500 different apps

With our Zapier integration, you can connect many different applications to WorkingOn. Some of our favorite use cases include:

  • Sharing current events from Google Calendar to WorkingOn
  • Connecting Pocket to share web pages with a specific tag to WorkingOn
  • Communicating when you’re away from your computer by connecting Swarm
Some of the 500+ apps supported by Zapier

Other teams have connected applications like Salesforce, Todoist, Buffer, Gmail, Toggl, and Mailchimp. As one customer pointed out, this enables them to let everyone use their favorite collaboration tools, “and through Zapier push those updates to WorkingOn as the central point for all those statuses.”

To get started, head over to the Tools page and click on “Enable It” under Zapier. We’ve also put together a few shared Zaps you get use to get going right away:

Wunderlist

Autopilot for your completed tasks

One commonly requested integration has been Wunderlist–and for good reason. Wunderlist provides a clean interface for handling your todo items.

After connecting WorkingOn and Wunderlist, your team is effortlessly updated each time you complete a task in Wunderlist. Additionally, Wunderlist task suggestions will be offered when sharing a task from our Chrome Extension and web application.

To connect Wunderlist:

  • Visit the Tools page
  • Click “Add Now” under Wunderlist
  • Click “Connect Wunderlist”
  • Choose the lists you’d like to use with your team

CSV Export

Make use of your data

We empower teams with direct access to their own data. This can be used for simple reporting or to help identify gaps and areas of improvement for your workflow.

You can export your WorkingOn data to a CSV from both the Activity page and your Profile page. While viewing search results or a particular hashtag your export will be specific to the results you see.

Give it a try. We would love to hear what you’ve learned from your data.

Annual Billing

Get 2 months free when choosing to be billed annually

Monthly billing isn’t for everyone. We know it can be tiresome to deal with monthly invoices, so we’re offering a discount for folks who choose annual billing at checkout.

If you’re currently being billed monthly and would like to switch, please contact us.

With thanks,
