Since forming in 2012, Second Home studio members Visualise have worked with some of the world’s most iconic brands and agencies, delivering ground-breaking virtual reality experiences on a global scale.

In the last 3 years they have been centre court at Wimbledon with Tim Henman, sped around the Amalfi Coast in a Lamborghini, taken fans backstage with Kasabian at O2 Brixton Academy, and transported holiday-makers around the globe with Thomas Cook — all without leaving the comfort of their VR headsets.

They have partnerships with major virtual reality manufacturers including Oculus Rift, Google and Samsung, which enables us to produce VR content that connects new audiences to virtual reality across multiple platforms.

Hi, Henry. What recent project are you the most proud of and why?

Hidden Cities Rio. The client was the FT and Google — the project was a VR documentary that looked at gentrification (or the lack of it!) in the Favelas in the run up to the Olympics in Rio. It’s had over 3,000,000 views on Facebook and has led on to another documentary in the series — in Dublin.

How has being at Second Home helped your work?

Hugely, in a number of ways — great environment to work in, both socially and from a networking perspective. We’ve met incredible contacts here that have led to great collaborations and projects. It’s an impressive and inspiring place to bring clients, instills confidence and a sense of being a part of something new, dynamic and exciting.

We ask everyone to select a book to become part of Libreria’s permanent collection. Which book would you choose and why?

I would choose Creativity Inc, it’s the story of Pixar by it’s founder and CEO, Ed Catmull. It brilliantly captures the difficulties of bringing creative projects to life and managing creative people I found it both a source of practical help and great inspiration. If only Visualise was the Pixar of VR, well, something to work towards!
