Goodbye To-do bot, Hello Workast
Recently we renamed “To-do bot” in Slack to “Workast”. This change was a long time coming as we had introduced our web application, Workast, to our users last year.
To-do bot was the last piece of the puzzle to be changed over to streamline our branding and vision of Workast, a work management platform for teams to manage tasks and projects.
To-do bot started in 2016 as a small bot in Slack. It was created by Founder and CEO, Guillermo Gette, after feeling frustrated with managing his own tasks whilst using Slack.
To-do bot initially began as a personal to-do list app but after the first week of being on the Slack marketplace, Guillermo received thousands of installations and hundreds requests to make To-do bot available team wide and for shared task management lists. From there on, we continued to evolve our product based on user feedback to what it is today.
Workast is now a powerful work management platform which has helped over 100,000 companies to get more work done.
Workast now has the ability to manage large scale projects, track all daily teamwork, a kanban board view, 2 way calendar sync, create tasks using email, greater visibility and transparency with search functions and has built a platform for apps and integrations to connect with.
Therefore, it is time to say goodbye to To-do bot, and Hello to the new era of Workast. Thank you for your continued support and we strive to continue to evolve and improve to help teams work better together.
