Weā€™ve hit Dev Update double figures! WorkChain.io is growing up so quicklyā€¦ seems like just yesterday it was just 8.1. Before we know it itā€™ll be driving, dating and off to collegeā€¦

So what have our crack team of developers been up to since last update? A helluva lot, as always. Here are just some of the highlights of whatā€™s been going onā€¦

Whatā€™s New in This Update

Work Records Hashed on Ethereum Mainnet

Weā€™ve stepped from the comfortable surrounds of the testnet and we are now live on center stage in the bright lights of the Etehreum mainnet. Basically, weā€™ve hit the big time. And now weā€™re ready to shine.

Premium users are the first to get to access the magical lands of the mainnet. They do this through option to hash their work records on the Ethereum mainnet.

Premium Account Status for Token Holders

A Rolex watch, a Mont Blanc pen, a Ferrariā€¦ all status symbols in their own right. And now weā€™ve got one more to add to the list: the ā€œPremiumā€ status workID label.

All it takes to claim this coveted status is a single WATT token in your managed wallet. Just one of the many examples of the utility of WATT tokens. And by the way, 40,000+ users have WATT tokens in their wallets, making them premium users and giving them first access to the mainnet.

Get the premium treatment. All it takes is a single WATT token.

Etherscan.io Links for Premium Users

Work record links for premium users can now be viewed and authenticated on the almighty Etherscan.io. Simply, click the chainlink icon next to a record in their workID. Premium status comes with premium features, naturally. Non-premium userā€™s records still link to the transaction on the testnet.

For premium users, records can be viewed and authenticated via the all-seeing Etherscan.io.

Improved Mobile Responsiveness

If like thousands of others, you mainly access WorkChain.io via your smartphone, the experience just got a more responsive. Here are some of the changes:

  • Disabled the app drawer expansion
  • Removed logo link to website (on all versions)
  • Hid the Bounty notice at the top of the app

Bug Fixes

You know that satisfying feeling when you squash that pesky bug mid-air in-between you hands? Feels good, right? Well, imagine squashing 27 bugs in one goā€¦ Because thatā€™s what we just did. And it feels good, alrightā€¦ Hereā€™s just some of what we fixed.

  • Wrong Request URL ā€” When premium users were given the option, nay, honor, of hashing work records to public Ethereum mainnet, the confirmation URL wasnā€™t working properly. The right URL is now in place.
  • Whitepaper ā€˜Read Moreā€ Button Not Working ā€” Some users were having no luck when clicking to read our whitepaper. Kinda defeats the purpose of a whitepaper, huh? Itā€™s now 100% readable.
  • Social Registration Buttons Not Active ā€” When registering for the WorkChain.io app, the social registration buttons werenā€™t working. Thatā€™s darn well inconvenient, isnā€™t it? But no more! Now you can register with the click of a social button.
  • Bounty ā€” Dashboard/Leaderboard Improvements ā€” Your ā€œOpen Campaignsā€ now show progress, limits reached, when thereā€™s no limit, and how many more tokens you can still earn . Basically, we donā€™t want you to miss out on a single WATT token.
