From exactly one week ago, I knew I was about to get sick. When walking down the aisle at my local supermarket, this overweight woman with long, matted brunette hair was walking at two miles per hour, coughing and spluttering everywhere. She wasn’t covering her mouth, and guess who walked right into her trap?

Absolutely disgusting behaviour. Did she learn nothing from COVID?

Exactly 48 hours after my unfortunate supermarket visit, my throat started to tingle and I woke up with snot dripping from my nose. Great.

As of today, I’ve been on sick leave for four days from work. My symptoms are; sneezing (including the snot), chesty and tickly cough, a very sore throat and pain when swallowing.

Clearly, I’m sick.

On Monday, I walked into my office and immediately began to cough. There is an ongoing investigation as to why the office has such poor aircon and circulation, so it’s a perfect place to reside if you want to swallow bad germs and catch a bug.

“I don’t want your germs and nasties, go home.”

And my colleagues were right, so I went to work from home.
