Have you ever looked into it?

Whether you live in a town of 5,000 people or a major city of 10 million people, there are always steps to be taken (as a community) to help bring about a more sustainable society. Everything from more efficient recycling systems to setting up community gardens, each city can make a difference.

Take a look at your town’s/city’s website to see if you can find anything. It should be under the tabs of environmental or sustainable efforts. I would say that most governments and jurisdictions have some sort of environmental committee or council. If not, try start one. Take a look at their current efforts and see if you can nudge them to do more.
