Obsidian has released a major rethink of managing file metadata (or front matter) called Properties.
This is not a review of Properties. This is an explanation of some workaround you’ll need to undertake if you a/ upgrade Obsidian to a version offering Properties, and b/ if you are trying to use TfTHacker’s new Tufte-style sidenotes implementation. I wrote about sidenotes, here:
