When it comes to studying the job scenario in any nation, Indian crowd is trusted to be the hardest working. Indian employees working overseas or within the nation are most trusted people in any industry. Therefore, when it comes to mapping between the salary and the kind of job profile, they have a lot to say.

A majority of Indians are not satisfied with their salary structure parallel to the job. Top companies have experienced major changes in past 10 years. This makes the salary structure as one of the main factors when a professional is looking for jobs in India or to stay with an Indian employer.

Worknrby, an Indian employment portal conducted a research stating the growth in challenges they face. These problems are because of mismatch in the vacant positions and employee. Some employees face difficulty to achieve suitable profile and salary. Worknrby is India’s first hyper local search-based App and Website.

It primarily focuses on employer and employee connection. According to the exact report of the survey, out of the total employees surveyed, 52% were totally discontent with their salary structures. From this percentage of the total employees, 70% said that their salary is not matching with the present standards of the market. And the other 30% employees are of the opinion that the salary they are paid by this top companies are not corresponding with the number of responsibilities they are given to carry out.

Considering the Indian employers, the workforce population suggests, that the job does not link with the designation. Here, the working population feels the pain of working in a role and not satisfied with the benefits or perks they get. This feedback suggests the case of mismatch profile or even the lack of potentials.

Study of job satisfaction levels in India

A recent study by the top recruiting group suggested that- Nearly 50 percent of the Indian employees are not happy with their pay structure. And the remaining 50 percent of them are not satisfied with their job profile. Survey stats were a proof of this discussion where the metro cities revealed high rates of unhappy working population.

This forum shared some global market trends, including:

· Fluctuation in the expectations.

· Growth in employee demands

· Encouraging female workforce

· Keeping flexible in employment such as- contract hiring, temporary profiles.

Few of the reasons that were found behind the raised eyebrows were:

1. Prolonged work hours: This reason was found to be the prime concern when it comes to working on a hectic schedule. Top companies were the revealed as the culprits behind carrying out a longer work duration. Employees presented their major involvement in extended work hours without any benefits. The survey claimed a ratio of 42 % of Indian employees working twice or thrice extra days without any incentives.

2. Career growth: The survey also suggested a mismatch ratio of suggested career growth and experienced rate in the workplace. Here, the percentage of resignations showed a rate of 64% of the resigning population has the same reasons. People are not satisfied with the career growth opportunities within the organization and thus resign from their designations. They even claimed that the pay scale had a vast difference between them and their peers.

3. Lack of guidance: This was the last and foremost reasons for the questioned work scenarios. As discussed earlier, Indian employees are fond of hard work. They are capable of turning the situations fruitful for the company. Therefore, sometimes there is a misguided way of recruiting through third parties, which results in a major difference. This contrast was observed in the cases where hired employees were provided a limited information about the job profile.
