5 reasons Interior Designers should be on Snapchat
Snapchat has come a long way very quickly, it’s no longer the new hip way for millennials to share promiscuous photos to each other (Don’t get me wrong, they are probably still doing that but hey.) Snapchat has become a community of like minded individuals sharing their stories, sharing behind the scenes footage into their lives & in their prospective industries. We all get together on this platform and share ways in which we can help each other or just become friends (I now have friends in all parts of the world & that is amazing)
Ok, so I’m an Interior Designer, why would I get on snapchat? Here are the top 5 reasons you should.
1) What You Do Is Awesome.
What seems like a mundane boring task to us Designers, could be something very interesting to others. Going to a tile store is more exciting when you take a few 10 second videos showing the options or why your choosing what your choosing.
2) Sneak Peaks for Your Clients
You and I both know that clients get a little excited, they want to see things right now but you’re not ready. Give them little glimpses into their project and keep them on their toes.
3) Collaborations
You can find other awesome designers (Ahem) and start collaborations, or just share ideas and it’s private. It will delete right away so no ones stealing anyone else’s ideas here. Sharing is caring. You can also get ideas from outside sources who aren’t in the design industry, they may have a totally different take on the project and that’s always great. Insight from an outsiders view can be just the thing you need.
4) Amazing Brand Exposure.
Your business comes down to the brand, the brand comes down to the face of the brand (That be you) so you can build your personal brand, a long side your companies brand all well making brand new friends from all walks of life.
5) Video is now.
As Interior Designers we should be jumping for joy at this opportunity. People & customers love visuals! With snapchat you can take a 10 second video or series of 10 second videos and share those with your clients so they can see processes we couldn’t previously share.
