Announcing our partnership
Workspace0x is a project to incentivize a community of entrepreneurs, consultants, freelancers and remote workers to organize collectively to build Smart Together. By harnessing the power of community collaboration and blockchain technology, individual workers can be empowered to participate economically and socially in meaningful work larger than themselves. At a macro level, Workspace0x is one project among many who are together pushing the idea of a decentralized future. In the spirit of collaboration and community, we are excited to announce we will be integrating Workspace0x with the Origin Protocol to offer transparent and efficient blockchain-powered marketplaces.
Origin Protocol enables traditional and fractional-usage or sharing economy marketplaces. Using decentralized compute and storage platforms like Ethereum and IPFS, the software that powers these marketplaces is entirely distributed. The Origin team strongly believes in fair and efficient marketplaces free from centralized control, rent-seeking incentives and censorship. This attitude aligns well with our beliefs at Workspace0x and we are happy to find an ally who supports our shared values.
Some of the opportunities that Workspace0x can explore are:
- Marketplace between workers needing workspace and workspace suppliers
- Marketplace between workers needing services and service suppliers
- Localized marketplace between workers who need services from other workers
In the spirit of decentralization, Workspace0x is aiming to build an organic community who support the power of digital workers to impact social and personal change. We are not looking to ICO as a funding scheme, as many opportunists in the industry have chosen to exploit. Whether as part of malicious fraud or well-intentioned naivety, history will not look favourably upon this activity.
That is why partnering with Origin is so important. It provides an opportunity to benefit from the shared network effects of being an Origin partner, as well as make user acquisition and adoption easier. This will allow Workspace0x to build and iterate faster and with less resources than previously required. Overall, this provides less incentives to ICO prematurely as well as a better chance to prove product-market fit.
