Before we start with the why and what, let’s go back a bit with SIRI and Alexa. Why SIRI or Alexa? Because we can? or Is it just the experience, the fun? Most of us spend say 12–14 hrs at home of which 8–10 hrs go in sleep and chores and that leaves us with 2–6 hrs with Alexa. Compare that to 8 plus hrs most of us spend at work and if you include the commute, then couple of hrs more. So, why then no Alexa at work, asked the meerkat! I can do with one and act like someone important at work.

So the skipper summoned the group and after the initial noise came a long list. Oh! apps at work have so many different flavors, technology, architecture, interfaces, generations, blah, blah. NOT easy is what it sounded in summary.

Now digging is not new to meekats and understanding workplace apps needed some excavation to figure out what would be required for a Virtual Assistant and connect and be able to converse. Another meerkat trait is the nice collaborative group execution and so before long, the taskforce ended up sticking a bunch of apps with standard and accessible APIs to fire up a workplace assistant that is live and ready to chat on Slack, FB Messenger, Skype and MS Teams. Now at work you can message to your calendar, crm, accounts, inventory and warehouse and just book time and get some timeoff. Why? Because we can.. Or probably because it just makes life easier and data flows faster. And what happens when business data flows faster?

Introducing Tiro the workplace bot that is ready to serve. Go take it for a spin at www.worktiro.com

Enjoy!
