WEO End of Year Update
Since we started our Closed Alpha in Fall 2022, we have released five versions (S0 through S4) of the game for the community to play, test, and provide feedback.
Each version offered new features and gave us a lot of feedback. We have a sixth version (accessible now in the Playtest Build with a Beta Key) that we were going to release for our next early access update on Epic Game Store, but the new mode has taken on a life of its own.
In the creation process, developers like us are never certain what will work well until you start creating it and getting people to provide feedback. You have a general idea if something has potential, but you never truly know until you create it.
This new gameplay mode was so exciting, and our internal feedback was so positive that it demanded to become its own game. This means we are now working on two distinct titles. We are not quite ready to share more details on the new game, but we will be able to do so soon.
Season 2
Based on invaluable community feedback, World Eternal Online’s second of five early access versions was the best, and we agree. We are going back to that version of the game, but to do so will require us to pull it down from the Epic Game Store for a while as we roll back and improve upon it.
After this weekend it won’t be possible to get a new copy of WEO on any launcher and the live servers will go under maintenance in the next hours.
Extraction Mode
The new game mode for the curious, will be available for playtesting with a beta key under the playtest version.
New keys will be released over time, if you don’t have one yet.
