Poppy Day is all but forgotten. On the 11th day of the 11th month at the 11th hour, peace was declared in WWI. Fair use.

I realized a few minutes ago that today was Poppy Day — the day when everybody used to wear a red poppy to commemorate those who died in WWI. Perhaps, it was a silent tribute to those who fell in WWII as well, but the day was a tribute to the 40 million whose lives were cut…
