It’s impossible to function without a smartphone in the first world. Government demands it. Banks demand it. And business demands it.

A short while ago, I read a piece by Medium writer, Jared A Brock, who told us that we could live without smart phones. He said that the possession of a smartphone would make us very unhappy. It wasn’t the first piece he had written about nobody needing a cell phone.
