Dante’s Inferno

I collaborated with Mariana to create a collage illustrating the imagery of Dante’s journey through the nine circles of hell. The string is meant to represent the tale of Minos which assigns souls to their circle of hell. The string wraps around the circles in our collage the way his tail wraps around himself. The string also symbolizes how Dante (and the rest of the souls) is not in control of his existence or his eternity. This feeling of being out of control is enough to make anyone lose hope and faith in their religion.
