I do believe that free will exist because we control what we do with our daily lives. We choose what to wear, eat for dinner, or what to watch, though that doesn’t mean that our actions don’t have consequences whether they are good or bad, each decision we make affects us, even the smallest ones. There are events where the smallest decision like staying in, getting breakfast, or being a few minutes late, ended up saving people's lives from a disaster. Of course, we as a society have rules and laws set in place for our safety that we “must” obey. However, having rules and laws doesn’t necessarily mean that we lose our free will. We can choose whether or not to obey or break the law. An example is driving under the influence. We know that this action is not okay, but many still break this law. Choosing to drive under the influence come with the consequence of not only getting a DUI but risking another human life. Law and rules don’t stop people from having free will. People still make a decision regardless of the consequence.

From a religious standpoint, in Christianity, we are taught that we do have free will. In lost paradise, it goes into depth about the story of Adam and Eve. God gave Adam and Eve free will within the garden of Eden, With a simple command of not eating the forbidden fruit but allowing them to eat from any other tree. However, a serpent comes and speaks to Eve and convinces her to take a fruit from the forbidden tree giving some to Adam. Of course, their decision to disobeying God came with consequences, as God punished them. In conclusion, I believe that free will does exist. I think it wouldn’t make sense if it didn't. I think that free will exist for us to grow and learn.
