Lucretius pg.47 The Nature of Things

I really liked reading this piece, something about it really spoke to me. Maybe its because I’m a hopeless romantic or something more, but it was really delightful to read. I loved the way he described Venus, however, I’m not sure if it was from the perspective of Mars or a third person. So if I were to meet the author I would probably ask for this clarification. Nevertheless, the way their love was described was just so beautiful to me. How only the goddess of love can truly break down the god of war. Overall I really liked it, especially seeing the contrast between the two and their love for one another.
