You don’t need to be perfect — you just need to be a little bit better.

Have you ever had one of those moments where you feel like you need to completely overhaul everything?

I was in full-on spring cleaning mode this weekend, going through my wardrobe, making piles to throw, donate, or sell. As I tried on a pair of shorts I bought last year on Vinted (that never fit me, but I convinced myself I’d “get into them”), I felt that all-too-familiar frustration creeping in.

You know the one — the inner dialogue that starts listing off all the things you should be doing. The thoughts that make you want to go all-in, restrict, train harder, and finally get things right.

But this morning, instead of letting that frustration take over, I turned to my journaling practice. I shifted from emotional frustration to logical action steps.
