— Michael and I would be basically be doing a part of each job in the production process; We are co directors and co producers. However, I will focus more on the editing of the movie, and Michael will focus more on writing the script of the film.

The mustachio “genius”, teen film movie maker Allen Poon.
  • We were thinking of doing “meta cinema” film, where the film is presenting a story about its own production. This film will begin with an eventful turning point of another film. Then it goes to a coffee shop where a writer is trying to come up with ideas for the script. The end of the film is in the peak of the film in the beginning, but before ending the film (from the beginning) the film goes back to the coffee shop where the writer is seen throwing away the idea.

Initial Treatment- The protagonist is running away in fear from an unknown

A writer in a coffee shop

thing, before the unknown thing reaches the protagonist, the scene shifts to a old towne coffee shop. The writer, is scribbling notes on his pad and is looking for inspiration. He is having trouble in coming up with a good idea for the script, this is seen with his many ideas that pop out into the screen. Then the writer finally has a good idea, the film moves back to the “climatic” scene, and we see that the vile unknown thing. The protagonist almost gets killed but then the scene shifts back to the writer, throwing away the idea into a trashcan.

Public School # 4
Jax Beach Boardwalk

Bold Bean Coffee Roasters

There are a lot of locations in Jacksonville that can suit our planned film. For the scene in the beginning the protagonist can be running away from the unknown thing either at Public School 4 (although its rather risky) or at Jax beach boardwalk near sunset to give an “eerie” feeling. The other scene in the coffee shop can basically be in any coffee shop in Jacksonville; the one I have on the picture below is a shot from Bold Bean Coffee Roasters.

Tech needs- This project will require a video recording device (Cannon Camera and or an Ipad), Microphone, and Tripod.

  • This link is helpful information to Tim Burton’s common techniques within all his movies. I might draw some inspiration from him into this film project.

Recruited Film Juniors- I am planning on recruiting Rain Kwan, Yash B.. I do not plan on using a lot of people since the film itself only recquires only a handful of characters.

For screenwriting purposes, I am planning on using Adobe story. Adobe story is a collaborative script development tool from Adobe Systems Inc. It includes scheduling tools, allowing schedules to be created from one or many scripts. Adobe Story is also integrated with Adobe Production Premium Suite. It is available as a web-based application, a desktop application, and a mobile app (Wikipedia). I can also use Microsoft Word but I think using Adobe story would be easier and more compatible to use.
