World Workplace EU meets Facility for Future — an absolute “must” for all innovators

On the 20, 21, and 22 of March 2019, the Kromhouthal will stage Facility for Future and World Workplace Europe. The IFMA and FMN, along with national and international partners, will deliver a unique combination of the two events. FMN, the professional association for the facility sector in the Netherlands, and IFMA, the International Facility Management Association, have worked together before. Collaborating on facility challenges that need to be put on the international agenda, and by exchanging knowledge about developments in the workplace through participation in the WE (Workplace Evolutionaries) community.

A unique opportunity

IFMA has been holding the well attended World Workplace in the US and Asia, and the last two years has been Europe’s turn, in Stockholm and Barcelona. In 2017, FMN organized a successful Facility for Future and will now have the opportunity to host this event again in a new format. FMN Chairwoman Natalie Hofman says: “With World Workplace Europe 2019 coming to Amsterdam, this is a unique opportunity to link the international realm of our field to the national context.” Lara Paemen, Director IFMA Europe, also sees a beautiful partnership in the works: “Our international members will get the opportunity to see an interesting example of professional facility management in a beautiful setting.”

Will we even have workplaces in the future?

The facilities field has been through enormous changes in the last 20 years. Whereas then we were preoccupied with the outsourcing of single services, today we are focused on the workplace experience, the guest journey and evidence-based designing. Not to mention integral outsourcing, hospitality and all types of cost-saving scenarios have already been on the agenda. In the coming years, we will also be occupied with the climate, smart buildings, and robotics. Will we even have workplaces in 20 years? Or will we have found other ways to create unity in teams and encourage discussions and networking? Will the shortage of employees grow to the point that we are forced to use them in a different way? Who is to say what is waiting for us in the coming years?

A “must” for all innovators

With exciting national and international speakers from both in and outside the field, Facility for Future is an absolute “must” for all innovators and everyone involved in the workplace and work environment of tomorrow. IFMA and FMN will give participants a look into the future with stimulating debates, presentations, innovative workshops, and inspiring pitches at four different stages. Speakers like Kate Vitasek, James Dearsley, Nigel Risner and Nancy Rademaker will close or open the different days with keynotes focused on the theme of teamwork.

We would gladly like to invite you to this event!
