USA Road Trip — Vegas to Vancouver with Mount Tallac review

Location Las Vegas to Vancouver via Mammoth Lakes, Lake Tahoe, Crater Lake, Portland & Seattle

After 3 nights in Vegas, a road trip up to Vancouver seemed like the best thing to do

Over the course of 2 and a half weeks, we were lucky enough to hike around Mammoth Lakes, Fallen Leaf Lake, Lake Tahoe, Mount Tallac, and Crater Lake

This was the first time I ever used a GoPro which is fairly obvious when you see the shaky camera, constant footage of my knuckles, and random transfers from my wrist to hand…. I also produced this with a free version of Animoto hence the horrible banners on the side….

That all being said the hiking was beautiful with literally no one to be seen for miles

This was the trip that made me fall in love with the American National Parks…

On Monday at midday, we were leaving our hotel in the heat of Las Vegas! 8 hours later and we turn up to a motel covered in snow with warning signs to be aware of bears! That is what made me open my eyes up to America and the ever-changing scenery, weather, and ways of living. We could have gone many different routes from Las Vegas to Vancouver, maybe going up the west coast or heading more central and passing Yellowstone but we decided to go through Yosemite and I do not regret that decision for one second (it also means I have to do this road trip at least two more times)

Mount Tallac

For me hiking Mount Tallac was the highlight of the whole holiday, it was difficult to find the start of the trails, and the path was lost under the snow three-quarters of the way up but all of this just added to the experience and made us feel more like adventure kids than ever before. Not one to do on your own (especially with hungry bears just waking up) but great fun with amazing views and pure peace and quiet the higher we went

Mount Tallac is not a mountain that gets a lot of write-ups but is one I would highly recommend for a day with nature.
