The hanging out regression

The hanging out cycle is actually better than its predecessor, and occasional complement:
Step 1: I like Alice.
Step 2: Alice asks to hang out. Inference: Alice is nice!
Step 3: Hang out.
Step 4: Poor Alice, having to hang out with me. She was nice to me, so I should return the favor. What would she want? Probably to not have to hang out with me.
Step 5: Avoid Alice so she does not feel obliged to be nice to me, and definitely do not ask her to hang out.
